Rashad Terry Heads our Motivational Arts Dance Department.

Rashad Terry is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern,  Hip Hop, Lindy Hop,  Lyrical, And African from the Renowned and coveted  New World School of the  Arts.  Rashad Terry is ART. ART in all its  forms especially dance, and music, has been his escape, and the promise of the  prevalence of human  intelligence. 

Rashad started his training professionally in 2002 at the Miami Cultural Arts Center training with some of the best teachers such as Shannon D.  Haynes, O'keithia Carey, and Miami Heats very own Traci Young. From there, Rashad was invited to be a part of Shannon Haynes rep. dance company United Dancers Of Miami where he trained and performed up into the late 2000's. In the summer of 2006 Rashad received a scholarship award to train at the Tomas Armour Ballet Conservatory in South Miami Fl. with the ability to perform and move an entire audience of a full house RashadTerry was casted the lead role of John Battle III and Ivy Bennets "The Chocolate Nutcracker. His performance qualities have been know by many audience members to "reach deep down into a soul and pull tears out that one didn't even know they possessed. Continuing with his dance education; Rashad "joined forces" with his High School dance team the "Miramar Sophisticated Sapphires" in which he competed in the U.S. Nationals  Cheer-leading And Dance Championship and received first place for his 2 min solo to Luther Vandross's world famous song "Dont You Remember".
 
After graduating high school Rashad went on to be a part of the Rep in DJB Dance Theatre, Directed by Dennis James Breedlove. Swiftly moving into his professional career as a dance teacher for Arts For Learning/Miami & Miami Dade Public School Systems for almost 6 years since 2007; Rashad has learned that As a  Dancer/Teacher, for most of his students he creates the exact same euphoria for them as he does  for himself. Rashad dedicates himself to advancing teaching  and learning through the Arts. Rashad's one purpose is to connect  with  his student’s, and  audiences everywhere.  Ultimately  connecting minds, bodies, and souls! 

Rashad has taught dance for many different programs such as Girl Power (2010 - 2011), Diva Arts Dance Academy (2010 -  2012), and Miramar High School Sapphires (2008 - 2012) just to name a few.  Rashad is putting the work in to sculpt and mold himself to be a very "seasoned"  instructor, he's learned that this is not a job for him;  in  his own  words, “THIS IS MY LIFE!" Motivating others through the ARTS! 

Rashad Terry knows that your trust in him adds up to a very special responsibility. He takes your child's dance education seriously, so he assures personal attention if needed  wherever he is teaching and instructing. His focus is on giving each student an outstanding training preparing them for the rigorous responsibilities in the "real world of dance". His dedication and commitment stands alone to attain quality and all of its attributes. He strives to provide education through the art of dance to impact ALL communities with a muti-ethnic multi-cultural dance programs, focusing on the love and not the natural endowment of dance.
